Overview

Sildenafil / Oxytocin

This compounded troche combines sildenafil's fast-acting peripheral PDE5 inhibition with oxytocin's hypothalamic and limbic activation of desire, bonding, and arousal. Sildenafil sustains the corporal vascular response while oxytocin amplifies the psychological and sensory dimensions of intimacy. Sublingual delivery accelerates systemic absorption of both actives and bypasses hepatic first-pass metabolism.

Mechanism of Action

Sildenafil selectively inhibits phosphodiesterase type 5 in corporal smooth muscle, preventing cGMP degradation and sustaining nitric oxide-mediated vasodilation for erectile response. Oxytocin binds OT receptors in the hypothalamus, limbic system, and peripheral reproductive tissue to activate the mesolimbic dopamine reward circuit, increasing desire, empathy, sensory sensitivity, and emotional attunement. In males, oxytocin stimulates penile erection through central oxytocinergic projections to lumbosacral spinal neurons and promotes ejaculatory function through peripheral OT receptor activation. In females, it increases clitoral and vaginal blood flow and enhances genital sensitivity. The combination addresses the vascular (sildenafil) and neuropsychological (oxytocin) components of sexual response simultaneously.

Oral

Dissolves under the tongue for faster onset.

Benefits

Erectile Support

Sildenafil sustains cGMP-mediated corporal vasodilation in the presence of sexual stimulation through selective PDE5 inhibition.

Desire and Arousal

Oxytocin activates the mesolimbic reward pathway and hypothalamic arousal centers to increase sexual desire and sensory responsiveness.

Bonding

OT receptor activation in limbic structures promotes emotional closeness, empathy, and relational attunement during intimacy.

Rapid Onset

Sublingual mucosal absorption delivers therapeutic plasma concentrations of both actives faster than oral tablet formulations.

FAQs

What is Sildenafil Oxytocin Troche?

Sildenafil Oxytocin Troche is a prescription therapy used for male sexual wellness support.

Who should use Sildenafil Oxytocin Troche?

Patients seeking support for male sexual wellness support may qualify after evaluation by a licensed provider.

Does Sildenafil / Oxytocin Troche require a prescription?

Yes. Both sildenafil and oxytocin require a valid prescription from a licensed provider.

What are the possible side effects?

Sildenafil may cause headache, flushing, nasal congestion, and dyspepsia. Oxytocin is generally well tolerated sublingually; transient nausea, mild headache, or lightheadedness may occur at initiation. Hypotension is possible, particularly if combined with antihypertensives or alpha-blockers.

Who should not use Sildenafil / Oxytocin Troche?

Absolutely contraindicated in patients taking nitrates in any form. Not for patients with severe cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled hypotension, or recent stroke or myocardial infarction within 90 days. Oxytocin requires caution in patients with hyponatremia given its antidiuretic activity at higher doses.

Are there any drug interactions?

Nitrates are an absolute contraindication with sildenafil. CYP3A4 inhibitors including ritonavir and ketoconazole significantly increase sildenafil exposure. Alpha-blockers and antihypertensives increase hypotension risk. Oxytocin's antidiuretic effect may compound hyponatremia risk with thiazide diuretics or other agents affecting sodium balance.

Is Sildenafil / Oxytocin Troche safe if I have a pre-existing medical condition?

Patients with cardiovascular disease require fitness-for-activity evaluation before use. Patients with hyponatremia, SIADH, or water retention disorders require provider evaluation before oxytocin. Not recommended in patients with hereditary degenerative retinal disorders.
