Overview

Azelaic Acid + Hydrocortisone + Hydroquinone

Kojic Acid + Green Tea EGCG + Resveratrol

Luminance addresses hyperpigmentation through simultaneous tyrosinase inhibition, melanin transfer disruption, anti-inflammatory control, and antioxidant defense. The inclusion of green tea EGCG and resveratrol provides additional free radical protection and synergistic brightening activity alongside the depigmentation actives.

Mechanism of Action

Hydroquinone inhibits tyrosinase, the rate-limiting enzyme in melanin biosynthesis. Kojic acid chelates copper at the tyrosinase active site for additive tyrosinase inhibition. Azelaic acid reduces abnormal melanocyte proliferation and has direct tyrosinase-inhibitory activity. Hydrocortisone suppresses the post-inflammatory cytokine environment that drives reactive hyperpigmentation. EGCG and resveratrol scavenge reactive oxygen species that upregulate melanogenesis signaling.

Topical Application

Applied to affected areas as directed.

Benefits

Brightening

Hydroquinone and kojic acid provide dual-mechanism tyrosinase inhibition for more complete melanin synthesis suppression.

Anti-Inflammatory

Hydrocortisone reduces post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation by suppressing the cytokine cascade that activates excess melanocyte activity.

Antioxidant Defense

EGCG and resveratrol neutralize reactive oxygen species that upregulate melanogenesis and contribute to oxidative skin aging.

Skin Tone

Multi-pathway depigmentation coverage addresses melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and solar lentigines simultaneously.
