Overview

Dutasteride + B12 + Minoxidil

Zinc + Biotin + Folic Acid

Density addresses androgenetic hair loss through dual-pathway DHT suppression, systemic follicular vasodilation, and targeted nutritional repletion. Methylcobalamin, zinc, biotin, and folic acid provide the cofactors required for follicular cell proliferation, keratin synthesis, and DNA methylation in rapidly dividing hair matrix cells.

Mechanism of Action

Dutasteride inhibits both type I and type II 5-alpha reductase, reducing serum DHT more completely than finasteride. Oral minoxidil prolongs anagen and improves perifollicular microcirculation systemically. Methylcobalamin supports B12-dependent methylation and follicular cell proliferation. Zinc sulfate regulates 5-alpha reductase activity and protein synthesis. Biotin supports keratin structural synthesis. Folic acid provides folate for DNA replication in high-turnover follicular matrix cells.

Oral

One capsule taken daily.

Benefits

DHT Suppression

Dual-isoenzyme dutasteride blockade provides more complete intrafollicular DHT reduction than finasteride-only regimens.

Hair Growth

Oral minoxidil delivers systemic anagen prolongation and perifollicular vasodilation across the entire scalp.

Nutritional Support

Methylcobalamin, zinc, biotin, and folic acid address the most common nutritional deficiencies contributing to hair thinning and shedding.

Follicular Health

FAQs

What is Density?

Density is a prescription therapy used for hair density support.

Who should use Density?

Patients seeking support for hair density support may qualify after evaluation by a licensed provider.

Does Density require a prescription?

Yes. Dutasteride and oral minoxidil are prescription-only medications. A valid prescription from a licensed provider is required.

What are the possible side effects?

Dutasteride may cause decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, reduced ejaculate volume, and gynecomastia. Oral minoxidil may cause fluid retention, elevated heart rate, and hypertrichosis. Biotin at high doses may interfere with immunoassay lab panels.

Who should not use Density?

Do not take if pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you are a woman of childbearing potential. Dutasteride may cause fetal harm. Not for patients with significant cardiovascular disease, hepatic impairment, or known hypersensitivity to any component.

Are there any drug interactions?

Dutasteride is metabolized by CYP3A4; inhibitors such as ritonavir and ketoconazole can increase exposure. Oral minoxidil may potentiate antihypertensives. Folic acid may reduce methotrexate efficacy in patients on that therapy.

Is Density safe if I have a pre-existing medical condition?

Patients with cardiovascular disease, hepatic impairment, or prostate cancer history require careful provider evaluation. Periodic PSA, liver function, and cardiovascular monitoring is recommended.
