Ozempic Pen

Ozempic (semaglutide) is an FDA-approved subcutaneous GLP-1 receptor agonist indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and to reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease. Each 4mg pen delivers 0.5mg once weekly for 8 weeks. Four needles are included.

Overview

Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. It lowers blood glucose in a glucose-dependent manner, stimulates insulin secretion, and reduces glucagon secretion. It also delays gastric emptying and reduces body weight through decreased caloric intake.

Ozempic is available through a valid prescription from a licensed healthcare provider via telemedicine consultation. As a brand-name, FDA-approved product, it is not a compounded preparation.
