Overview

DHT-Derived Anabolic Agent

A synthetic derivative of dihydrotestosterone with a high anabolic-to-androgenic ratio. It promotes tissue building effects while minimizing androgenic side effects.

Mechanism of Action

Binds androgen receptors to activate protein synthesis and nitrogen retention, shifting the body into a tissue-preserving state. Supports recovery from catabolic conditions including post surgical weight loss, chronic illness, and prolonged corticosteroid use.

Oral

Capsule taken orally. No injection required.

Benefits

Weight Recovery

Supports weight regain in individuals recovering from surgery, severe burns, traumatic injury, chronic infection, or prolonged illness.

Bone Density

Stimulates osteoblast activity to improve bone mineral density.

Tissue Preservation

Promotes nitrogen retention and protein synthesis, preserving lean tissue during catabolic states when the body is breaking down faster than it can rebuild.

Body Composition

Improves the ratio of lean tissue to fat mass by reducing catabolism and supporting metabolic efficiency during recovery.

Low Androgenic Profile

High anabolic-to-androgenic ratio. Fewer androgenic side effects. Lower risk of acne, oily skin, & hair loss.

Oral Convenience

Available as a capsule. No injections required. Twice-daily dosing for stable blood levels throughout the day.

FAQs

Does Oxandrolone require a prescription?

Yes. Oxandrolone is a prescription medication and a Schedule III controlled substance. Our licensed provider will review your health history and blood work, if appropriate, issue a prescription that our partner compounding pharmacy will fill.

What are the possible side effects?

Possible side effects include nausea, headache, changes in skin color, acne, and changes in libido. Oxandrolone is a 17α-alkylated compound, which means it passes through the liver. Liver function tests should be monitored. Rare but serious effects include liver toxicity, jaundice, and changes in cholesterol (decreased HDL, increased LDL). Contact your provider immediately if you experience abdominal pain, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Who Should Not Use Oxandrolone?

Do not use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a known hypersensitivity to oxandrolone or any component of the formulation. Not recommended for patients with a history of prostate cancer, breast cancer (in males), severe liver disease, or nephrotic syndrome with hypercalcemia. Males must be on concurrent testosterone therapy, as oxandrolone suppresses natural testosterone production.

Are there any drug interactions?

Oxandrolone significantly potentiates warfarin; approximately an 80–85% reduction of warfarin dose is required to maintain the target INR. Inform your provider of all current medications, particularly blood thinners, diabetes medications, and corticosteroids.

Is Oxandrolone safe if I have a pre-existing medical condition?

Consult your provider before use if you have a history of liver disease, kidney disease, heart conditions, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, or mineral imbalances. Your provider requires a complete medical history and baseline labs before prescribing.

Is blood work required?

Yes, we offer out-of-pocket labs with Quest Diagnostics. Required panels: CBC, CMP, PSA, Total Testosterone, Lipid, LFTs.
