Gonadorelin

Gonadorelin is a synthetic decapeptide identical to naturally produced gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). It signals the pituitary gland to release LH and FSH — the hormones that drive testosterone production, spermatogenesis, and ovulation.

Overview

Gonadorelin is a synthetic version of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) — a decapeptide produced in the hypothalamus that controls the body's reproductive hormone cascade. Made via solid-phase peptide synthesis, it signals the anterior pituitary to release luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), which in turn stimulate the gonads to produce testosterone, sperm, and estrogen. It is used to support fertility, treat hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, and stimulate ovulation in women with hypothalamic amenorrhea.

Men seeking

Testosterone support and preserved fertility — particularly those on TRT who want to maintain testicular function and sperm production

Women seeking

Ovulation induction for hypothalamic amenorrhea or fertility treatment where GnRH stimulation is the appropriate intervention

Diagnosed with

Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, delayed puberty, or hypothalamic amenorrhea — conditions caused by insufficient GnRH, LH, or FSH

Looking for

A peptide that works upstream — stimulating the body's own hormonal axis rather than replacing hormones directly

How It Works

Synthetic GnRH Decapeptide

Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis

Gonadorelin is a 10-amino acid peptide (decapeptide) structurally identical to endogenous GnRH produced by neurons in the hypothalamus. It is manufactured using solid-phase peptide synthesis — the same process used to produce other therapeutic peptides — ensuring precise molecular fidelity and consistent potency.

LH & FSH Release

Anterior Pituitary Stimulation

Gonadorelin binds to GnRH receptors on the anterior pituitary gland, triggering the synthesis and secretion of both LH and FSH. LH is the primary driver — stimulating testosterone production in men and triggering ovulation in women. FSH acts synergistically, supporting spermatogenesis in men and follicle development in women.

Subcutaneous Delivery

1 mg/mL · 5 mL Vial · Provider-Directed Dosing

Administered subcutaneously, gonadorelin is rapidly absorbed and acts on the pituitary within minutes. Dosing frequency varies significantly by indication — pulsatile administration closely mimics the natural hypothalamic GnRH pulse pattern, while single-dose or scheduled protocols are used for ovulation triggering and hypogonadism treatment.

FAQs

Dosage & Administration

Gonadorelin is administered subcutaneously. Dose and frequency are entirely provider-determined and vary by indication. For men on TRT using gonadorelin to preserve testicular function, a typical protocol is 100–500 mcg two to three times per week. For fertility and ovulation induction, dosing may follow a pulsatile pattern to mimic natural GnRH release. Use a short insulin-gauge needle, rotate injection sites, and dispose of used needles in a sharps container. Swab the vial top and injection site with an alcohol wipe before each use.

Precautions & Side Effects

Gonadorelin is a compounded prescription medication. It is not FDA-approved or evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. A valid prescription from a licensed healthcare provider is required. Must be 18 or older to order. Not available for shipping to California. Inform your provider of any allergies, history of pituitary tumors, kidney disease, ovarian cysts, or hormone-sensitive cancers before use. In women, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is a possible risk — contact your provider immediately if you experience severe abdominal pain, bloating, or rapid weight gain. Multiple gestation is also a known risk when used for fertility.

Storage

Store Gonadorelin Injection at room temperature — 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C) — away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Do not freeze. Keep the vial tightly sealed when not in use. Keep out of reach of children. Use within the beyond-use date on your prescription label from Empower Pharmacy. Discard any unused solution after that date.
