FAQs

What's the difference between IgG?

IgG (subclasses 1–4) indicates systemic immune activation and delayed sensitivity. Testing all three gives a complete picture of how your immune system reacts to airborne triggers.

How is this different from a standard allergy test?

Standard allergy tests (skin prick, IgE blood tests) measure immediate hypersensitivity reactions. This panel measures IgG — delayed immune pathways that cause chronic, low-grade symptoms like fatigue, congestion, and brain fog that standard tests miss entirely.

What do the reaction classes mean?

Results are classified from 0 (Very Low) to IV (Very High). Class 0 means antibody levels are within normal range. Classes I–IV indicate increasing levels of immune reactivity, with Class III–IV suggesting significant sensitivity requiring environmental modifications.

Why are mold results important?

Mold exposure is one of the most under-diagnosed environmental triggers. Aspergillus, Penicillium, Alternaria, and Cladosporium are common indoor molds that can cause chronic respiratory symptoms, fatigue, and cognitive issues — especially in damp environments.

How long until I get results?

Results are typically available within 5–7 business days after your sample is received at US BioTek Laboratories' CLIA-certified, COLA-accredited lab (CLIA #50D0965661) in Shoreline, WA.

Can I test for both food sensitivities and inhalants?

Yes — we offer food sensitivity panels (FIT 132, FIT 176) alongside this inhalant panel. Many patients benefit from testing both to get a complete picture of immune triggers from both diet and environment.

Do I need a doctor's order?

No. Our clinic handles the ordering process. A licensed provider reviews your intake and authorizes the test. No separate doctor visit or prescription is needed.
